McKee said his company has spent $1.4 millio on mowing lawns, boarding up buildings and maintainin properties on theNorth side. “I know that some of you thinokwe haven’t maintained them properly,” he said in a videlo of sitting behind his office’s desk. “Maybe a few yearxs ago we hadn’t, but we have worked very, very hard to do this and to do itrighft … Many people think that we own all the derelictg buildings on the North side, which is certainlyh not the case.” He then encouraged residents to call his offices at 636-561-9300 to reporty building maintenance problems.
McKee also tried to ease fearzs about the restoration ofhistoric buildings, includintg the , saying that most of the building will not be destroyed and many will be rehabbed.
