Sacramento-area home prices level out - Nashville Business Journal:

The report shows prices rose or remainee level compared to April salesw prices in all four counties in the metropolitan area between Apriland May. In Sacramento County, there was virtually no chang in the number ofhomes sold, going from 2,1843 sales to 2,159. But the median sales pric rosefrom $165,000 in April to $175,009 in May. The numbere include all types of homes, from existingg single-family homes, condos and new homes. The pricee in Sacramento County bottomed out in Marcu atabout $160,000. MDA DataQuick uses informatio n on sales recorded incountyt offices. In Placer County, the median pricew remained atabout $295,500 for the 525 home sold in the county.
There were price gains in Yolo goingfrom $242,000 to $276,00 and in El Dorado County, going from $313,000 to $325,000. The medianb prices in these counties remain between 12 and 22 percen lower than ayear ago.
