Some employers in the Milwaukeed area have had difficulty recruiting employees who do not have cars and must take publicx transportationto work. In an interview, he said he has troublew hiring workers from Milwaukeewho don’t have cars, noting that thered is no easy way for city workers to get to his Mequom factory by public transportation. “Basically, (lack of public is throttling the growth of General MetalWorks and preventing me from hirinfg people who need jobsin inner-city Milwaukee,” Isbisterd said.
