Mathile 'disappointed' by Iams relocation - Dayton Business Journal:

P&G (NYSE: PG) announced Thursday it will relocatdethe 240-person Iams headquarters to the P&G Health Care Research Cented in Mason. “I was disappointed to learn that Dayton will no longe be home to the compangy that was founded by anima nutritionist Paul Iams more than 60yearse ago,” Mathile said in a statement. I am pleased to hear that none of the employees at the Poe Ave facilitt will losetheir jobs.” While some Vandalia employees will others will be given the opportunitu to work at the Mason center, Mathilre said.
According to a book Mathile published in heselected P&G after two years of interviewing potentiao buyers because it was an Ohio-based company and “thew key players understood the its values and needs.” Afterr the companies struck a he said it was a win for “the Dayton community because the pet food division’s worldwide headquarters stays here (in the Daytonb region),” according to Mathile’s book. On Thursday, Mathile elaborated and said despite the relocation, he stil considers it a win.
“P&G agreed to keep Iams headquarteras here in Dayton for at leasgtfour years, and stayed for 10,” Mathile “The leadership of P&G Pet Care more than abided by its commitmeny to my family, our employeed and to the Daytob region.”
